The story behind the skin
Every piece I've ever tattooed came with a reason, even when the client couldn't quite put it into words yet. A memorial, a milestone, an inside joke, a reminder to themselves. I've learned that my job isn't just to draw well. It's to listen well enough that the design actually means something once it's permanent.

Where the linework comes from
I grew up drawn to botanical illustration, old naturalist sketchbooks, the kind of linework that treats a flower or a moth like it deserves real attention. That's still in almost everything I make now, whether it's a fine line piece or a full sleeve. I want the art on your skin to hold up the same way a piece in a gallery would.

Why I still do this
Ten years in, and I still get genuinely excited when a client sends me a reference at midnight because they couldn't stop thinking about their piece. That feeling doesn't get old. I get to help people carry around something that matters to them for the rest of their life. Not many jobs let you do that.
